RMI Telecommunications Pty. Ltd. was founded in 1996 as a provider of telecommunications solutions and development for PABX and key systems. 

In 1997 RMI Telecommunications started providing internet services in Brisbane, QLD, with access following in several other areas across the country. 
RMI Telecommunications was a major capital contributor to Stealth Internet, which was founded in February 1998.
In July 1999, RMI Telecommunications fully acquired Stealth Internet, to further expand its internet service area to include regional NSW. 

RMI Telecommunications also specialises in the installation of IVR systems that are compatible with 99% of small business telephone keystations and PABX.

The year 2000 brings a range of oppertunities to RMI Telecommunications, with RMI launching its residential local and long-distance telephone service
as well as the introduction of 30 new internet points of presence across the country.
